"Limitless" is only concerned about one thing and that is being reallyreally cool. This is one of the only movies that has come out recentlythat has successfully ran with a cool idea by avoiding throwing in allsorts of unnecessary nonsense. The script is well written by LeslieDixon based off of the novel "The Dark Fields" by Alan Glynn, BradlyCooper ("The A-Team", "The Hangover") was well casted, and DirectorNeil Burger raps it together into smart entertaining fun. Cooper playsa man named Eddie Mora who is an aspiring failure of a writer. He hasjust gotten dumped by his girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish "SuckerPunch") and doesn't know where to turn. This leads him to a chanceencounter with his ex-wife Melissa's (Anna Friel, "Goal") brotherVernon (Johnny Whitworth, "3:10 to Yuma") who is known for beinginvolved in the drug game. After a brief meeting, Morra is given asample of a new drug called NZT-48 that is supposed to open up hisbrain allowing him to use his full brain capacity increasing his focusand intellect. At first he is very skeptical, however, he is curiousand knows that he needs to do something to get out of his downwardlyspiraling existence. Needless to say he takes the pill opening up aworld of achievement, greed, and danger that is limitless. His life isback on track as he gets his girlfriend Lindy back and is becoming amulti-millionaire, however, isn't there always a drawback? Yes there isas Morra gets more and more involved, his health is at risk and hebecomes a marked man.Eddie Morra was a character perfectly crafted for Bradley Cooper.Cooper is looked at as a hotshot, rugged, talented alluring actormixing comedy, action and drama within his roles. Without Cooper"Limitless" would lose its charismatic vibe and would not be nearly asgood. The film itself is very captivating and doe not have a dullmoment. It achieves this with consistent nonstop strings ofentertaining sequences meshed together with exquisite film editing.Film editing is used in a number of ways in order to visually representdistinctions within the human mind. It explicitly distinguishes betweenfull awareness of an opened eyed individual and the foggy state of aclosed eyed individual. Depressing, nonsense drama is avoided in thefilm as well differentiating the film from a stereotypical movie abouta junkie. Also, what makes a movie like this better? Cast a seasonedactor like Robert De Niro as a big-time businessman.First of all many viewers may say that the story has been told before, however, this does not affect the movie. One problem that the film doeshave is failing to fully explain the role of certain characters. Somecharacters are overlooked very quickly and as the movie turns towardsnew developments most evident with Robert John Burke's characterPierce. Also, Abbie Cornish's casting as Morra's girlfriend Lindy wasnot the best choice leading to a very average performance. Yes she doeswhat she is meant to do, however her portrayal is very one-dimensionaland ultimately unimportant. The basic outline of "Limitless's" plot has been seen before, however, this is not just another movie about a junkie who discovers power andis in danger of losing it. Cooper's charm keeps Morra coming back againand again as he finds the answers to his limitless potential. It ismovies like this that define the entertainment of cinema, however, theart of the movie's film editing may be commended as well at the Oscars.

For me this movie was very good and had all the characteristics of agood movie. The acting from the cast made it very enjoyable to watchand made me go to see it twice in the movie theatres and no dough Iwill get it on DVD. The story line of how a writer with no creativeideas comes across a pill that makes you use your whole brain isdefinitely something I like to find. Although some of the scenes weregreat. I still can't say I understood the ending as much as I wouldhave liked. Even the second time I was still laughing at the same timeand still shocked at most moments. I would warn you if blood makes youscream some of the end scene may do that. If you like the idea of everything coming to you easily see this movieas it shows the ups and downs of using this so called pill and seeingthat even though its a great thing to use it will eventually kill youor other people for everyone will want a piece of you brillianceBut I would say most people would enjoy this film especially if youlike action, blood and laughter. It is definitely worth paying to see. I gave it a 9 because I think to give it a 10 they would of needed toshow a bit more of the back round of how to pill came to life.

This movie isn't officially a comedy, yet there were around 12 comedicmoments in the first 15 minutes.None of which I found funny but they were obviously there.I found this film unbearably arrogant and irritating. I disliked theguy taking the pill. I hated his friends - and WTF is Anna Friel doingin this? Some jumped up British 'actress' who doesn't know the firstthing about acting. What a boring, badly directed heap of garbage this film is. Good job Istopped watching after 30 minutes. Least I only wasted 35 minutes of mylife on it. The other five minutes were spent writing this comment.Great idea, very badly executed. Awful waste of time. It was likewatching some trashy American 30-something sitcom/mini series. The on-going narration was so annoying. Just 1/10!

Now this is how you make a movie. I don't know if it was the fact thatI saw perhaps one of the worst movies ever dumped on screen last weekor if I had seen something that really took me by surprise. Let's gowith the latter, because one way or another, Limitless will somehow endup on my top 10 of the year. So for those who have been missing the previews, here's the basics.Bradley Cooper plays Eddie, a guy who seems to be on the top of theworld (or rather a luxury skyscraper) and he's ready to end it all. After one of the slickest credits sequences ever put on film, we findthat he was a guy who had hit rock bottom in his life after gettingdumped by his girlfriend, failing to pay rent on time, and hadconsistently failed to type a single word for his novel. In otherwords, he was a loser...I mean artistic writer. By chance, he meets hisex-wife's brother-in-law who turns him on to a new drug called NZT. Thedrug might as well be called "Charlie Sheen" because this guy starts towin at basically life itself. In 24 hours, he scores with the young wife of his landlord, cleans uphis messy apartment and finishes the first part of his overdue novel(that is immediately embraced by his editor). So after a good trip likethat Eddie needs more. More of this drug to help him focus to not onlyfinish his book, but learn languages, play the piano, score more girls, play the stock market, and whatever else he wants. Thus, what followsis an insane adrenaline-fueled odyssey as Eddie rises to power with thehelp of Charlie Sheen's tiger blood, all the while dealing with somepsychotically bad side effects. How bad are we talking here? Say18-hour blackouts where he remembers snippets of fights, parties, clubs, and random sex. Actually, now that I wrote that, those might benot-so-bad side effects. So what separates this film from other drug head films? Other filmsshow how drugs make their users feel "high" or "good" for a while(which basically means doing jack), before the inevitable time wherethe user gets "clean" and goes through withdrawals. In essence, thesefilms show how "drugs are bad" and how the road to recovery andredemption is a long and painful one. This is NOT one of those movies. This is a rise to power film. After Eddie is given his powers, we see him adjust to his new life andmakes crucial decisions on where he takes his life next. But the drugnot only gives Eddie supreme intelligence, but focus for goals. Whileit's never explicitly stated, Eddie simply wants the "world andeverything in it". And this is what makes Limitless so entertaining. Weare taken on a ride as Eddie moves up in the world and shown how hedeals with his love life and his relationship with business partners. You never see what's coming next or predict how each character willfare in the movie. It's simply one surprise after another.Acting wise, Bradley Cooper shines in this film. You might as well callthis his "breakthrough" role, cause he is the star of the show here. While his character never attains the infamy that other famous rise-to-power protagonists have (like Tyler Durden or Scarface), you arenonetheless drawn to his character and hope that he makes it through tosee the next day. Abbie Cornish does a fine job and redeems herself inmy eyes for Sucker Punch and proves to be both confident and competentas an actress. Pay attention to this one in the coming years. And thankGod that Robert De Niro gets to have a role in a movie isn't worthless. He does his job as a Wall Street exec quite well and almost makes mewant to see him in a broker movie. What really takes you on a ride in the movie, besides the great actingand tight script, is the direction. I cannot think of a single plothole in the movie, even though a lesser film could have easily madethat mistake. But the true star here is the cinematography as thecamera tricks in this movie are so much fun. The only way for me todescribe it, is like speeding through a tunnel of your depthperception. Picture yourself on a street and peer as far as your eyecan see. What the movie does is quickly travel the length of yourperception and keeps going and going. It gives you that beautifulfeeling of omniscience. Simply put, you can see and hear everything. There are very few movies I walk out of a movie saying "wow". Thismovie was one of them. An adrenaline-fueled adventure that captivatesyou without a single explosion and leaves you completely satisfied. Iwon't give it a perfect rating since some characters were not fullymemorable, but this film takes you on a ride you'll never forget. Runout and catch this movie anyway you can. It deserves it.

I feel it needs to be said that this is a superhero movie. We've had amyriad of superhero movies in recent years, but only a handful (e.g.the first Iron Man) were films where it seemed to me cast and crew werenot fast asleep but actually cared about what they were doing. This isdefinitely an example of that rare breed. It is one of those movieswhere you spend the entire length of the film NOT noticing that it is asuperhero movie, and quite possibly this will not dawn on you even onthe ride home, because the subject matter is handled seriously: thecharacters are 3d life-like people; the plot has life-like complexity;there is ambiguity and room for interpretation. Somebody cared. I hadmy doubts, going in, whether Bradley Cooper can pull this one off. Hesure can. Other actors are also at the top of their game. (I don't feelI need to pick out De Niro in particular, here.)So, the good: Original, creative writing. Original, creative, beautifulcinematography. Original, creative direction. Interesting throughout.Believable, except when it isn't trying to be. Good pacing. Well acted. The bad: Some scenes stretch credulity. Most by just a little. Thefore-last scene is over the top. I loved it. (My wife said: "They'retrying to pull a Tarrantino. Right?" and they were.) I can't blameanyone who says this scene ruined the movie for him. It isn'tbelievable. It isn't consistent with the rest. But it's definitelywhere the roller-coaster that is this movie is at its most extreme. Bycontrast, the last scene left me with a feeling of something missed. It's like the script saves the best for the sequel. So, unfortunately, this movie doesn't have an ending that makes youforgive it for everything else. Quite on the contrary. It just happensto be so good that I was willing to forgive it its bad ending.

Ever thought about what you could do if a magical pill could turn yourlife into its most promising form? Hollywood execs have and "Limitless"just shows that they wish they could be smart. And it is just a magicalpill because any scientific explanation is lacking, at best.We first meet Eddie (Bradley Cooper) on the ledge of a building as badguys are breaking down his door. He's not going to let themwinÂapparently, suicide is him "winning". But then we rewind back tothe beginning of the story. Eddie is an unemployed writer, losing hisgirlfriend, and losing his grip on reality. When a mysterious pillcomes his way, perhaps drugs could secure his grip on reality? One ofthe many problems, is that Bradley Cooper can never be a worthless slobwith no job. With looks like that and eyes that blue, countlessromantic comedies have proved that he can easily get women like JuliaRoberts, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Connelly.Attempting to find clever ways to show off New York (and handsome menvomiting), just sent the camera on a whirlwind spin, and my head on aworse one. Car chases, fist fights and elaborate action sequences werethrown in just to distract you from the point that they had nowhereelse to take the story."Limitless" has proved that Hollywood's stupidity is... (yes, I amgoing there)... limitless.Follow my blog Napierslogs' Movie Expositions athttp://napierslogs.blogspot.com

Limitless is an entertaining ride through the ups and downs of a smart, but drug-addicted writer/loser (Bradley Cooper). Cooper is the one that makes the whole concept actually seem believable. His is simply awesome in this movie. The other characters are forgettable to me, not because they are terrible, but because Cooper takes the stage. I don't normally buy movies on the day they come out, but this is one of that I just had to have. One of this years best films. It is stylish, smart, and limitlessly entertaining.

This review is from: Limitless (Unrated Extended Cut) (DVD) "Limitless" reveals to us what can happen when we achieve our full potential. In the case of the movie's protagonist, he uses an experimental drug to achieve the results. We get a glimpse of all that's possible when his mind starts to function at full capacity. However, we also get to see the negative side effects of relying on chemical enhancement. The negative side effects are the primary drivers of the drama in this movie, as well as the attempt to mitigate those effects. This establishes the crux of the whole movie: Who succeeds in the end, the man who takes the drug, or the drug itself?

Greetings again from the darkness. First, I absolutely love thispremise. The idea that, by taking a pill, we can simultaneously accessall parts of our brain and process information at hyper-speed isfascinating, and a terrific idea for a movie. As it turns out, thatterrific premise loses much luster when the center of action is aegomaniacal, smirking doofus played by a strutting Bradley Cooper. The set-up portion of the film is fairly interesting. Cooper plays astone-walled loser of a writer whose career-minded girlfriend (AbbieCornish) wisely dumps him as he offers up very little in self-defense.A seemingly random street meet of his ex-brother in law leads Cooper toa whole new world brought on by the magic of NZT. He quickly realizeshe can recall every detail he has ever seen or read and he processinformation quickly and clearly. He finishes his book and learnsmultiple languages, plays the piano, etc etc.The film takes a wrong turn when he realizes his ability comes in handyin the stock market, as well as blackjack. But obviously if you were inthis situation, the first thing you would do is contact a Russian loanshark and take out a giant loan ... and then forget to pay it back. What? You wouldn't? Well then, don't expect to have a movie made aboutyour life.Director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) brings a wonderful visual touchto Cooper's mind and an awesome telescoping zoom rush through thestreets of NYC. That was actually my favorite part of the film. The film misses quite a few opportunities to be as smart as Cooper'scharacter is supposed to be. Either the Russian loan shark or theultra-rich businessman played by Robert DeNiro could have led toFaustian themes that would have provided endless opportunities.Instead, we don't even get a real battle of wits between the parties.Quite a disappointment.Overall, the film is entertaining enough, but a letdown over whatshould have been. Watching Cooper strut and DeNiro sleepwalk are notenough for me as a movie goer.

It's frustrating when any work of art -- be it an album of music, anovel, a painting, or a film -- carries a distinct yet maddeninglyunplaceable sense of familiarity; when its sources and inspirationsbubble exceedingly close to the surface without ever really showingtheir faces, as if embarrassed by what has been done with theirinfluence. "Limitless" is a film fraught with such familiarity, and asa result, comes nowhere near matching its title. The plot involvesdisheveled, would-be writer Eddie Mora (the reliably charismaticBradley Cooper), who has a run-in with a long-unseen cohort, who hookshim up with a transparent, dime-sized drug called NZT. After his firsttab, Eddie plows through his novel and becomes a sudden fountain ofonce-untapped knowledge (the aim of the drug is to free up all theunused, inaccessible space in the human brain); he makes connections upthe societal ladder, and eventually uses his expanded headspaceto...wait for it...play the Stock Market and make himself filthy rich. This leads him to a position of grace with a powerful corporate mogulplayed by Robert De Niro (on default mode, as is usually the case thesedays). As one might predict, what goes up must come down, and thedemands of NZT eventually cause Eddie to run afoul of some time-fillingRussian mobsters who serve no real purpose other than to shoehorn someoverly contrived, plot-desperate conflict into the proceedings. Asdirected by Neil Burger, "Limitless" is pulp, plain and simple --alternating between bizarrely jokey voice-over narration, some verycool (if narratively disposable) 'rollercoaster' shots, and doursermons on the side effects of addiction, all while culminating in anending that favors convenience over believable logic.

This review is from: Limitless (Unrated Extended Cut + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) Great movie for those who want to be limitless. Excellent cast, script, and plot. Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro are terrific.

The character (Bradley) eventually overcomes the side effects and finally put it to good use. The drug works only if you're already smart. It doesn't work on uneducated thugs or single-minded tycoons. It works on ordinary average people who puts their education to good use. Another thing I liked about the character is that he didn't try to con everyone. He just made an honest money although going through the loan shark was a dumb idea. I liked De Niro's role and he really shines at being a bull-headed businessman. I also liked the ending where the character tweaked the bugs out of the drug and improved it so it becomes permanent. He could've been an FBI profiler solving tough cases or a doctor finding cures for deadly disease instead of a Senator but of course, that's just me.PS - he reminds me of a TV show 'Chuck' where he fought a bunch of losers by remembering what he saw from an old Bruce Lee movie.

***Spoilers Below*** The reason for the title is that there was no endto the ways that this movie could have been better. I enjoyed it.However, I expected much, much more. Anyone as smart as Morra wassupposed to be in this movie would have made more NZT right away. Moreover, he would have never been duped into leaving the NZT with hislawyer. Also, I wasn't on NZT but knew as soon as they talked aboutHank Atwood's "meteoric rise" and how "frail" he looks, that he was.Why didn't Morra? I also thought that there would be more De Niro and fewer meaninglessclips of his blackouts. This entire subplot lent nothing to the storyand were easily cured by "getting sleep and remembering to eat." Alsohe talks about an increased dose. The drug was explained as allowingyou to access 100% of your brain. Do two pills allow you to access 200%of your brain? Makes no sense to me.Good movie. Could have been great.
thoughtful 29 April 2012
Anyone that has ever done a mind enhancing drug knows the feeling of initial invincibility and subsequent downfall. The premise of the movie is that when controlled it can serve its purpose. Question: At the end of the movie did Bradley really stop taking it...enjoyed this thought provoking film. Earthy and well acted. Not perfect nor should it be. The opening credits are visually very cool.Recommended for quality entertainment value amongst all those poorly made c films out about a guy and a girl having sex for, whatever. This one makes you think. Love Cooper - the guy is a spot on actor.
26 April 2012
Eddie Morra (Cooper) is given a new pill, NZT48, that will increase hisbrain power to 100% and he excels in everything. What a guy! However, there are those who want his NZT supply and he needs to outsmart them. Can he do it? Should be a no-brainer    I am writing this review using only 10% of my brain, so WYSIWYWG. Getit? HA !It is not easy using this 10% (I hope it's at least that) and writingabout someone who can use 100 % of his brain power. I am sure I willmiss or not understand many things that are .um .way over my head. Ican only hope that those who read this review are also at the 10% leveland won't think too badly of me as I plod along. However, I do fearthose readers may be above 10%. Bummer. Woe is me. This was quite entertaining. Not exactly like a comedy as one wouldimagine with the plot line being what it is. No, this is high drama, but does have some funny moments.I kept asking myself who is Bradley Cooper and someone said he was inTHE HANGOVER. Ah, yes, that almost comedic comedy. I saw that anddidn't see anything funny in there except for the Taser scenes. But,Cooper proves my point in that so-called comedians do better with dramabecause they have the timing for drama, not comedy. Cooper didexceptionally well in this movie. (Bob, you do know they are making THEHANGOVER 2, don't you?) I have low expectations about that, but willgive it a shot. Also, Robert DeNiro (as Carl Van Loon) was excellent. I just hope hisnot-so-funny comedy days are over with. For me they weren't working forhim. But in drama, he has few peers. And, if truth be told, he isextremely funny in dramas when he is has some funny lines to deliver inthat serious way he has that produces laughter. He was great in hereand I wouldn't rule out a Best Supporting Actor award. But, that's justme. Abbey Cornish (as Morra's girlfriend). Wow! Where did she come from?Absolutely beautiful and sexy. Will have to keep an eye out for her inthe future. She could be the next Charlize Theron. Hmmmm    ..The story isn't as predictable as one might think. It has a few twistsand turns and not all of them pretty. The way they did the flashbacksin the beginning was exceptional. Very good. The acting by all, thepacing, real stunts and the CGI were all right on the mark. Veryentertaining. Well, that's my 10%. Violence: Yes. Sex: No. Nudity: No. Language: No.
26 April 2012
Science fiction, action, and thrills work through a twisty plot finally to catapult Bradley Cooper into his rightful place as an actor who can hold a film equal with Robert DiNero. His grunge is as equally convincing as his brilliance (but, of course, his brilliant role shows handsome good looks to advantage and a good swoon to those who see). The sci-fi premise is revealed in a clear pill that contains ingredients that enhance brain power from the basic 20% we use to 100%. Imagine! As a man who has wasted years of his life trying to write and living the rejected writer's life, he is given a pill that can literally give him a new lease on life. Is this pill approved by the FDA, as the provider promises? At this point, who cares? Eddie Morra (Cooper) certainly doesn't and in a very limited time space, gulps it. At the initial use of this synaptic pulse that ignites a dynamo, the landlord's wife is berating him for rent abuse. Director Neil Burger brilliantly reveals visually the course this synaptic bursts take from one point to the next in expanding Eddie's brain. Everything he has ever heard or seen or read are ordered into a seemingly limitless variety of ways that can help Eddie achieve. And so he does. He writes that book, but in another moment of clarity, he sees the direction his life can take. Again, the director's message is that whatever personality traits a person has, that is where the drug reaches in to enhance. His girlfriend takes one pill to elude a strong-arm and learns that she has a sharp, scary side she does not want to revisit. Evil is personified through other characters who also take the drug. Eddie's ambition seems limitless. But then so do the after effects that the drug slams on the userOther reviewers criticized what they saw as plot holes. I saw them as eccentricities in a story of man's chance to really do something significant. For significance is the final direction Eddie Morra takes. The film has one of those really satisfying, pleasing endings that the viewer cannot predict. In a society in which women enhance their physical attributes, men enhance their sexual and athletic performances, "Limitless" asks us to study the effects of one man reaching the limits of his intelligence, and then some. It's a job well done: the movie, the performances, the visual effects, the action, the theme.
jc-osms 23 April 2012
A pounding and indeed relentless up-to-the-minute thriller with its ownunique insight into the burn-out behind high-fliers in the financeworld; apparently it's all due to a new, unofficially available pillwhich frees the mind. For Bradley Cooper's schmucky-loser, it becomes alife-changing revelation, making him immediately brilliant in business,an expert in self-defence and of course, a hit with the ladies. Cuelots of directorial devices, such as deep-perspective tracking shots,cut-up scenes and interspersing dialogue. It's a good premise for asci-fi thriller and the first hour is great as Cooper embarks on hisrags to riches trip, discovering the potency of the drug in hiseveryday life.Unfortunately, it gets too silly from there on as he gets involved witha Slavic gangster who wants in on the act taking the last third intosub-Terminator territory with too much violence and gore and lettingdown the promise of what had gone before. Cooper is good in what is basically a split-personality role, halfstrung-out waster, half suited and booted fast-talking whizz-kid.Robert DeNiro does his usual professional job as the biggest shark inthe pool, reining any Pacino-like excess and playing it straight. Morecould have been made of the slightly underwritten female parts whichreaches some sort f nadir when Cooper's wife pops a pill to becomeSigourney Weaver long enough to escape the bad guy in a tight spot.In the final reckoning, if the writer and director had avoided thepredilection for mindless violence, a modern-day parable about theexcesses of capitalism albeit mixed up with a sci-fi and thriller ethoswas within reach, but it really let itself down by pandering to thebody-count requirement of teenagers who I guess put bums on seats.

It does spurn the "Imagination"- & Brings a new meaning to-" Nothing good comes easy.... If it does...WATCH OUT"!!!I found it to be fairly entertaining - yet fairly slow @ times.... Enough to almost lose interest. The acting was overall "A" rated..-how can You miss with the that cast?!If You like the actors... This review is from: Limitless (Unrated Extended Cut + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) A waste of a good idea. The chance meeting and the plot that follows are poorly developed. If this was better produced it would have been very entertaining. Perhaps someone else will get the story and make it a good movie. Meanwhile, you should pass this one by.

Amidst the sea of remakes, reboots, sequels, and prequels it'srefreshing to see Hollywood produce something wholly original.Limitless is the story of Eddie Morra, a down on his luck writer whosecareer is going nowhere. Things change when he discovers a drug whichenhances the brain immensely, unlocking the other 80% that we don'teven have access to. He uses his enhanced intelligence to make moneyoff of the stock market which causes him to get lots of attention frombig-shot corporate investors. Morra slowly uncovers a whole line ofcorruption within the world he has gotten himself involved in, gettinghimself in over his head and having to deal with a lot more than hebargained for. It's a twisty, complex, and thrilling adventure thatcould have gone sour quickly, but it is actually surprisingly decent. This is a movie you pretty much go into totally blind. There's noprevious work for you to base the film on other than the book, butthere's never any knowing if the film will be faithful to the book atall. The film isn't the work of some big time director that one canalways expect good things from. It's an original film from the directorof The Illusionist and one or two other recognizable titles. So, ofcourse, going in I had my skepticism, seeing how this film could easilyjust be another dumb thriller that lacks any creativity. But, much tomy surprise, it wasn't. It's actually very entertaining and very uniquein its substance and style. It tells a story that is excellent at itscore, but has a few kinks, making it a tad rough around the edges. Alittle more effort in tightening up the story could have gone a longway for the film, but its nothing that detracts from the overall impactof the film. Really it is just small absurdities and unrealisticelements that sometimes stretch the film's already thin logic. However, there is enough to hold on to that the film is still plentyentertaining.Limitless finds a good balance between substance and style. It tellsits complicated story but maintains a slick atmosphere that makes thefilm a lot of fun. It's well shot and the cinematography is excellent.Lighting is used heavily, giving the film a wash of bleakness at first, but after Morra takes the brain enhancing pill everything growsbrighter. There are a lot of visual quirks that are used to illustrateMorra's enhanced brain. Stylish direction and clever edits give thefilm a great design and excellent overall style. The entire visualstyle of the film is just one smart choice after another, giving lifeand image to something that is going on in our protagonists brain. Todo this in writing is easier because a book is a gateway straight intothe mind of a character. On film it is more difficult to make itinformative as well as interesting, but Limitless pulls it off verywell. This film isn't perfect but it is certainly one of the better actionsuspense thrillers to come out recently. This sub genre is somethingthat produces a lot of pretentious and over zealous trash, butLimitless rises slightly above all that and becomes one of those filmsworth mentioning. I don't know that I will be talking about Limitlessyears or even months down the line, but it is a fun watch and a solidfilm.
