Will, a poor player who bears an uncanny resemblance to Shakespeare, auditions on stage in front of Peter, a busy producer with his nose in the trade papers, hardly noticing Wills extraordinary performance. Will, using the prop of a life-sized doll and changing costumes with magical speed, acts out brief scenes at the heart of Romeo and Juliet, Richard III, As You Like It, Hamlet, Antony and Cleopatra, Othello, Titus Andronicus, Merry Wives, the Tempest, the Winters Tale, and other of the Bards plays. Its an infinite variety show, and finally Peters attention is on Will. What will the producer say when Will finishes?

Shakespeare in 5 minutes... and Loving it!

This short is incredible, especially if you are familiar with the Bard'splays. Without saying a word, Will, the poor player, really expresses themeaning behind the plays, as well as making us realize what the plays arereally all about. It was released on an Aardman compilation video yearsago, and I wish I had gotten it then. I love it to this day. It's a shame that this short came out of Aardman at the same time as thefirst Wallace and Gromit AND Creature Comforts, 2 other brilliant works ofanimation. I think it's one of the best overlooked shorts everdone.

Delightful, witty, and amazing!! A must see.

This short film from the Aardman animation tape is incredible.Imagine William Shakespeare acting out his plays in totalsilence -- what a challenge. So now you get the chance tofigure out all of the plays he's referencing!!! I'd classifythis as the ultimate Shakespeare final or the brain teaser ofthe century. Unfortunately it's really too bad this video isout of print. I'd buy 3 copies.

The Perfect Week For Movies: Day 2: NEXT

As Far As Ardman Animations Go I Prefer "Pib & Pog" But Take NOTHINGAway From This, This Is A Highly Entertaining Short...Even For PeopleWho Didn't Like Shakespeare. The Main Idea Of The Film Is That WilliamPerforms All His Plays Within 5 Minutes To An (At Times) Annoying GuySaying The Only Line In The Movie..."NEXT!". Turns Out That That Guy IsSt. Peter. To Be Honest The Second Movie In Plan Didn't Go AccordinglySo I Had To Find Something So I Watched This Entertaining Short. To BeHonest I Don't Like Shakespeare That Well & I Enjoyed This. Off TheRecord This Movie Was Not Planned To Be Watched & Hopefully Tomorrow ICan Get A Full Length Movie For This Thing...Maybe Something WellKnown."Lord What Fools These Mortals Be?"
