amazing.........totally awesome

When i first saw the trailer of the show, i didn't actually get it. Butnow that i have seen it i completely get it. I understood completelyabout the entire story. I didn't know that they(cast) can telleverything that has happened in just 1 hour. Jensen Ackles again did anamazing job for the WB. He had a background of Kansas, which is ironicbecause he was in Kansas in another hit WB show Smallville. He playedthe older brother who kind of taking care of his younger brother playedby Jared Padalecki. Jared's character was tired of hunting supernaturalthings. but when his own girlfriend dies the same way his mom died, hedecided to hunt that thing. This all happened in the pilot episode. Both brothers are also looking for their father who hasn't returned tothem in days. He was on his hunting trip( looking for the thing thatkilled his wife). This also happened in the pilot episode. I don't knowif the time or day of the airing of the show will be changed, but iwill watch it every week. The WB has made a wise decision of picking upthis show. I recommend to everyone to watch this show. You wont besorry.

The fantasy genre show of the decade!

Okay. I have been a fan of Jensen Ackles ever since seeing him in DarkAngel five years ago. Therefore I thought that I would giveSupernatural a go.I expected to like this show but this show has grown on me more than Iever imagined. It is now my favourite show on television. It is theseries of the decade much like The X-Files. It shares a tone similar tothat of earlier X-Files season without plagiarising it (it stands toreason because they share many of the same writers). The story lines in terms of hunting the supernatural are genuinelyscary (more so towards the end of the first season) and the alpha demonof the main story arch is as terrifying as the demon from The Exorcistor Damien Thorn from The Omen. While the mains storyline is serious, the show also has a great senseof humour. What I love most is the characterisation. The family dynamic of theWinchesters is fascinating. Dean Winchester is so charming anddevil-may-care on the surface but so damaged, loving and loyalunderneath. If you watch the episodes 'Salvation' and 'Devil's Trap', you shouldsee that it is a series that is no longer just for teenagers.

This serial for every person who loves this subjects

I mean,it's really impressive for this people. Because it's giving youeverything about ghost stories, spirit, angels, devils. If you likethese you're gonna love it! Like me. I am watching this serial foryears. My favourite character is Sam! Because he is very clever andstrong. He always makes right choices. My another favourite characteris Castiel after Sam. I'm not gonna explain this because it's can beexplained with one word: Angel! Because he is angel. He is strongerthan every devil and every character. By the way, Castiel and Dean arevery good friends. I love dean too because he always protects hisbrother. Even Sam doesn't like this. I don't know how can explain thismovie how is awesome. I am thinking every person who loves ghoststories, angels, magic and like this subjects, you have to watchSupernatural.

Fantastic!

I absolutely love this show! The dark colors and the use of real mythsand legends, teamed with brilliantly talented actors who are absolutelygorgeous too... pure genius. Although our episodes are quite behindhere is Australia - about 8 episodes i think (because apparently mybirthday isn't special enough for my favorite show to air) i still feelconnected, and trying to figure out what happens next. I don't want toread spoilers for this, as the anticipation of each episode alonedrives me insane, and there's nothing better than the feeling ofwatching supernatural.did that make any sense?

thank god for TV on DVD!

...or I never would have found this gem! This is what NightstalkerSHOULD have been. All my favorite horror movies + two hot guys + greatspecial effects + genuine scares + kick ass rock and roll = one fineshow.I rented the first three discs of season 1 and had to run out and buythe whole thing. Good thing I caught it too...season 2 starts September28th...can't wait! The best way to sum it up for people who arethinking to watch it or not is...The X Files - with two Mulders - minusthe aliens - plus the buddy duo from Psych...and you've pretty much gotSupernatural. :D

So Awesome!!!

It is MUCH better than the other shows on the CW. Of course, thatdoesn't say much. Still, the best thing about the show is the actingfrom Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. It didn't seem like that in thefirst few episodes, but after that they really got into theircharacters! Ruby was a bitch, but the actress who played her wasgreat!! This show has also had a lot of great guest stars. Two of myfavorites were Gary Cole from the "Hollywood Babylon" episode, andShane Meier from the "Hell House" episode. The episodes are getting a little predictable and formulaic, or theywere. However, the acting seems to be getting better and better. Andeach episode has a few great twists. This is especially true for JensenAckles in this new season of the show.I hope the actors and producers of "Supernatural" keep up the greatwork!!

Great show, those guys hunt and rock ghost far away

An excellent show, good drama en good action. I hope they are makingmore season of it because i love to watch it every week. There is good acting in this show, by both characters. There brotherswho are looking for their father who is chasing, and hunting ghost fora long time. Suddenly dad doesn't come home en the boys are going tolook for them. After hunting en destroying several ghost they findthere dad. They start to hunt with him to find the ghost who killedthere mom. They find ghost who will vanish easily and some of themreturn. You really missed something if you haven't watched this show, and ifyou are fund of this kind'o mystery and spiritual shows.

supernatural getting bad to worse.

I think supernatural is getting bad to worse. it started out OK, quiteinteresting, and I think it's funny. season 3 is the climax as it isreally funny with hot ruby and scary Lilith. now, ever since season 4,this show sucks. Firstly, they made ruby an evil bitch. why can't therebe a good demon? if angels are bad, then demons could be good.Secondly, angels are portrayed as weak, evil bastards who torturepeople. And since when do they lose to devils, and need to get avessel? they are supposed to be all powerful, and can just materializein whatever they like. according to the bible, I recall that someangels masquerade as men to warn lot to get out of Gomorrah orsomething. and all angels are supposed to have seen God at least a fewtimes a year. Come on, Seraphs or Powers are supposed to sing God'spraises around his throne 24/7, surely God will be sitting there?? Youcan check this out in wiki. thirdly, why is dean saved? he is NOT agood guy. he always sleep with women, fight, curse etc. definitely notan angel. even Sam is a better choice. fourthly, humans cannot BECOMEdemons, just like they can't BECOME angels. They are just humans.Demons are FALLEN ANGELS, so Lucifer is already not an angel. Sure, some demonic offspring, like giants, can be demon, I guess. Checked itin wikipedia. And I guessed that Antichrist, he is powerful, but notenough to turn castiel into a toy. fifthly, why is dean such a dick?just accept to be Michael's vessel! assuming I believe SPN's "lore", heshould do it for the greater good. Did he think he could take onLucifer alone? Dream on! can SPN stop that angels and demons crap? Isigned on to watch horror, ghosts, and zombies, not God and theology. The only good stuff is Dean's looks, hot chicks, cool special effects, and (occasionally) funny moments.

The perfect show?

A fault is hard to find in a show that is well done. And everything iswell done in this show. The story lines are captivating. The charactersare people you can relate to and want to be. There's the corny 'goodiegood' type for the Sam fans and the kick ass antihero Dean.It takesserious dilemmas that are more supernatural versions of decisions andlife lessons that people go through to in their own life. But it alsohas a witty yet blunt type of humor that is immature and fun whichrelieves that serious side well.Season 1 was a fantastic lead in withseason 2 having a ending suitable for a main storyline.season 3 wasgreat, taking a good idea and playing it out well. But in my viewseason 4 and 5 have taken TV to a new level.Taking the final book ofthe bible and turning it into an action packed, apocalyptic drivenstory that you cant help but watch and be in awe of. So creative.Itsexactly what I've wanted in a show for so long that its just so awesometo finally see it in action. Also for me the icing on the cake is themusic.Classic rock still lives.I cant help picture Dean kicking JustinBeibers ass with AC/DC playing in the background.EPIC.This show is atestosterone filled blast that is perfect for any true blooded male. Not being sexist, its got the goods for girls as well. Any girl whoappreciates TV as entertaining as this is marriage material in myview.Watch it and embrace its perfection...

Nothing like tuning in to a mini horror movie every week.

It's a genius blend of the X-Files, Rout 66, and every classic horrormovie you've ever seen. Urban legends are dissected using myth and factbringing to life mini movies that make you wish they were longer thenjust one hour. Two charismatic brothers start out on a journey to findtheir father who is out on a hunting trip. Hunting what? Things that gobump in the night, and revenge on the demon that killed his wife. That's how John Winchester was introduced into this world of theSupernatural and he raised his two sons, Dean and Sam as best he could.Giving them the knowledge and skills to abolish all evil, bringing themup to follow in his footsteps. This is already the second season, somuch has happened in just the first 22 episodes. New friends have beenmade, old friends have been lost and enemies have been revealed. Season1 is on the shelves and is captivating as all get out but you don'tneed to have watched all of season 1 to get into this show. You mayneed some insight here and there but you have me to ask if you have aquestion on anything.Sam and Dean are on the road trip of their lives, stopping here andthere at Podunk gas stations to fill up Dean's '67 Chevy Impala.(Christened by the fans as Metallicar) She purrs under the hood like afat cat and roars down any road Dean takes her; all the while listeningto what Sam has dubbed "the best of mullet rock". Although that's isn'tentirely true, you will hear a steady stream of classic rock dipping inwith a few choice hair metal bands and songs from the early to mid80's.The brothers are played by Jared Padalecki (Sam) and Jensen Ackles(Dean) who may already be a couple of familiar faces. Jared is wellknow for his role of Dean in "Gilmore Girls" as well as Wade in "Houseof Wax" (the 2005 remake) or even Tom in "Cry Wolf". A talented actorwho's chemistry with on screen brother Jensen Ackles is nothing shortof a good chemical reaction. Jensen is a somewhat less familiar facebut if you know where to look back you just may remember him as EricBrady, Sammy's twin brother on "The Days of our Lives" or more recentlyas Jason, Lana Lang's old love interest on "Smallville". Needless tosay you can tell that these boys get along well off screen just by theway they act on camera, they play off each other and are so believableas brothers some times you forget you are actually watching somethingthat's not real.Eric Kripke, the creator of "Supernatural" does his best to bring you aone-hour mini horror movie each week. Filled with effects, comic reliefand at times a glimpse into the life of these two young men that willmake you wish each episode were longer. By the time next Thursday comesaround you'll be dying for the next show and Kripke never ceases toamaze.

The X-Files of the New Millennium

What can I say about Supernatural? It's The X-Files of the newmillennium. The show, suffice to say, is about two brothers. Sam andDean Winchester, (think of the repeating rifle,) lost their mother whenthey were little. Whatever killed her, pinned her to the ceiling like amoth or butterfly to a piece of cardboard. Their father became obsessedfinding the creature. Then it jumped to Stanford University. Sam'splanning on entering Stanford law school when his brother Dean, (anhomage to Jared Padalecki's previous role on Gilmore Girls, perhaps?)shows up and tells him that their father's missing. Sam's shocked. "Dadlet you go on a hunting trip alone?" "Dude, I'm 26." What made think ofThe X-Files was the storyline. Supernatural takes its stories fromurban legends like the woman in white. That's a retelling of thespectral hitchhiker, usually a girl of about sixteen or seventeen, whoappears on the side of the road asking passing drivers to take herhome. When the drivers ask her where she lives, she says at the end ofa road. The girl's looking for her mother. So when the driver, usuallya trucker, goes to the mother's door to tell her that her daughter's inthe truck, the mother says something like: "Mister, Sarah died tenyears ago. She's buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery." Like the otherreviewer, I can't wait for more. What happened to Sam's girlfriend? I'mnot telling. See for yourself tomorrow night. It's going to be repeatedthen.

Really enjoyable spooky, freaky funfest!

Having been a huge fan of Angel and Afterlife I am always on thelookout for new Supernatural mystery programmes with great stories andblack humour. I watched Charmed and Ghost Whisperer but found both tobe rather soft and not quite as gritty as I was hoping, then along cameSupernatural, the stories are original, the chemistry and banterbetween Sam and Dean is totally believable of two brothers and the factthat they are both human makes it easy to watch without comparing it toother shows such as Buffy and Charmed, I also feel that this is one ofthe first shows of it's kind that it aimed at an older audiencetherefore making it more frightening and edgy than anything that hasgone before. I think that it more than capable of replacing any othersupernatural shows that people may be missing, and having two leadingmen that are both quite yummy also helps....

5 Reasons to watch this show...

1) Jared & Jensen. There just wouldn't be a show without these twoactors. Some people might believe that one actor is better than theother. However, IMHO, if you didn't have one of them, the brotherlyrelationship just wouldn't work. Jared and Jensen both make theircharacters unique and three-dimensional. I can't imagine anyone else ineither role. They both show emotion and depth and those who say thatthese two actors bring down the show really need to take a closer lookat the episodes. The acting on this show is far superior to a lot ofother shows.2) The story lines. Yes, they do takes bits and pieces from differentthings...but so what? Original ideas ran out a loooooooooong time ago.It takes quite a lot of imagination to put a new spin on things, andthis show does that. There always seems to be a unique spin made on anold legend, they twist it around and make it interesting (even forthose who may have heard of the legends before).3) The music. While other shows use the latest popular chart hits,'Supernatural' is using classic rock that's never gone out of fashion. In fact, it's aged extremely *well*. Thank god for the music on thisshow. It fits perfectly.4) This show also at least *attempts* to have a horror element to it.Okay, so maybe nothing has actually made you jump out of your seat, butthat's hard to achieve with what they can show on TV. I just admire howatmospheric and moody this show can be. They hardly ever have anycheese factor (there is the occasional bit), but on the whole, thisshow is dark and gritty and that's why I love it.5) The guest stars and recurring characters/actors. It seems like'Supernatural' often chooses some of the best actors/actresses to gueststar on it. Okay, some are better than others, but usually we get apretty good guest actor/actress. Not to mention that both male andfemale viewers of the show get their fill of eye-candy. For the femaleviewers there's Sam and Dean, and for the male viewers (like myself)there's usually a hot-random-girl-of-the-week. While other shows mightjust get actors/actresses for their looks and nothing more, at leastthis show tries to get good-looking actors/actresses who can actually*act*.

Omg Supernatural

Supernatural is like the best show in the world. It's about reallegends and it has two of the hottest guys i've ever seen! Why can'tall shows have hot guys like these. They are like... perfect. Enoughabout the guys. The show is great it shows that this family is reallydedicated to killing this being that killed their mom. Even if it meansgetting themselves killed in the process. They've lost their mom, dad, girlfriends, and almost their lives. These two guys go through hellevery time they walk outside. It show's that these people can actreally well if they can do this show without basically crying. I can'twait for the next episode. Keep it up Jared and Jensen. WE LOVE YOU!

Good Story but lacks of something

I saw the 1st season on DVD and now watching the 2nd the series has agreat story full of options and potentials but the problem here thatthere is something missing here . The actors are not very good -avergereally- the emotions are very flat, they could not bring them right .Alwayes the same situation when the writers try to make the series deep-the son father issues all the time- nothing new and that makes me fellthe shallow of this series. The special effects are poor and they arejust repeated patterns from famous horror movies like "The Ring" and"The Grudge" . i can not deny that the show has its moments but theyare very few,the main problem in the show is the actors they are veryflat i can not feel damn thing from them -i even had to speed episodesbecause i get bored from them- i just finished watching the 4 seasonsof "4400" and that could be the cause that i did not like"supernatural" very much because of the huge difference n levelsbetween those two . if u are gonna watch "supernatural" i should warn uthat sometimes u may fall asleep from some very boring moments. And oneof the major flops in the show is the ridiculous way by which theproblems are solved, the problem is very complicated and the solution isvery easy and they get it like that just coincidence"Deus ex Machina" or "god out of a machine" that is the word that sumsthe whole series this

Hell Yeah!

When i first saw Supernatural airing on AXN ('cos i live in India, andwe don't get CW here), i was like, what the hell? Let me just give it atry...and boy did i love it! It's going to move into it's 5th seasonbut it just hasn't lost its charm. The duo of Jensen and Jared ( though i must say, i prefer Jensen) aretotally awesome. And Jensen just totally rocks! Kudos to the storywriter who just keeps weaving awesome twists and turns in the plot(believable ones, mind you), and definite kudos to Robert Singer who'sdirected 80% of the episodes.Just hope it doesn't go off air.Supernatural rocks \m/

very good show for the most part

I love Supernatural. I love reading scary books, and I would love scarymovies if they were actually decent. I find myself laughing and not theleast bit scared at scary movies these days. Supernatural, on the otherhand, definitely has a lot of genuinely scary scenes that have made mejump(especially in the first 2 seasons). I'm even afraid to watch italone w/out any lights on! I can't say the same about most horrormovies. The first 2 seasons were very good, the 3rd not so much. I'mglad it got renewed though, because the 4th and 5th seasons have beenvery epic. It's a different spin on the show, but very intriguing. Itstarts to question what is good, what is evil, and different aspects ofreligion. There's also the added plus for many women of having the maincharacters be two hot guys. There are also plenty of attractive womenthat men find attractive.

One to watch!

It's a mini horror movie every week. Supernatural brings American urbanlegends into your home each episode. All those stories you told aroundthe campfire as a child come to life in this explosive TV show. Fromthe exceptional writing to the awesome soundtrack, this TV show is astep above the rest. I love seeing the dynamic between the brothers,Sam and Dean. It seems that no matter what has happened in the past, family is family. I imagine this show is a production nightmare. Thereare so many great special effects, it's like being at your localcinema. And you can't forget that car. A '67 Impala that the brotherstravel the country in. With the classic rock tunes blaring on thecassette player and the roar of the engine, this car is hot! Overall, Ithink Supernatural is one of the best shows on TV. My only concern isthem running out of good material. I mean there are only so many urbanlegends. However, I've heard they've got the first 3 seasons prettymuch mapped out, so at least we can have a few good years, right.

brownsugar_16 01 May 2012

loving supernatural

i think supernatural i a great show with fresh new (Hot) faces. Jensenis a great actor as the older brother he keeps everything in check he'shandsome and funny give the show a spark. Jared is the young brotherand is also very handsome he feels drawn to having a normal life butfeels he has a duty to his brother and father to keep fighting thedemon that killed his mother. i think this show is great it takes youbeyond a normal train of thought it makes you think outside of the boxand gives different explanations for why things happen. it pulls youaway from real life and gives you a different point of view if only foran hour. so i hope that this show stays on for many more seasons tocome and i give it a perfect 10.
